Job Description

Main Purpose of the Role:

Assist and back up the Trade Manager in maximum volume of cargo onboard the vessels while retaining the highest amount of revenue for the assigned services and vessel yield management.

Main Tasks:

• Establish pricing guidelines for respective trade lines according to BU policy.
• Manage and coordinate tenders for global awards
• Back up and assist OOG/special pricing projects
• Set and attain targets for NOR levels and volumes onboard ships
• Connect the pricing function with the vessel management function to guide in their decision making.
• Assist with customer service functions t maintain efficient returns on bookings.
• Act as a decision maker for marketing decisions affecting the profitability of the vessels within assigned services.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Review, researching and responding to emails and formal correspondence from the business unit, account owners and customers
• Review and approval of various reports, analytics and trade performance measures.

REQUIREMENTS

• First Degree in Shipping

• 4-6 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 3-4 years’ experience in commercial shipping activity in trade functions or pricing is highly preferred.

• Microsoft Office Suite ( Intermediate Level – Excel)

• Very good command of English Language (Reading, Writing, Speaking)

• No travelling required
