Job Description

Salary: $135,000 - 185,000 per year Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree (internship experience acceptable).
  • Proficiency in C, C++, or assembly programming languages.
  • Solid experience in writing production-level C, C++, or assembly code.
  • Proven track record of developing, debugging, and deploying software for real-world applications/projects.
  • Familiarity with real-time rendering, game engine development, or physics simulation in high-performance computing environments.
  • Strong analytical abilities and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (UDP, TCP/IP, etc.) and distributed systems.
  • Understanding of security challenges associated with distributed systems and online services.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and build highly reliable real-time software for gateways, satellites, user terminals, and switches forming our low-latency, high-capacity satellite network.
  • Take part in and lead software architecture, design, and code reviews.
  • Create prototypes and manage experiments to validate key design principles.
  • Develop tools for software creation and deployment, data analysis and visualization, and testing across various environments, including virtualized systems and actual hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
  • Ensure dependable software deployment, testing, and data analysis within a continuous integration and release framework.
