Content Creator

Position Overview

Our client is looking for a Social Media Content Creator to develop engaging content focused on happenings in Downtown Detroit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media trends and the ability to create compelling content that drives engagement and brand awareness.

This is an ad hoc role covering events in Detroit as needed. On average this will be around 10-15 hours a month. You must be local to the Detroit Metro and have a portfolio of Social Media Content to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating content for our client's Instagram and Facebook page
• Take videos and photos of places and events in Detroit
• Create reels and YouTube shorts
• Edit content
• Uploading captions into editing tools

Qualifications

• Proven experience in social media content creation or a similar role
• Passion for Detroit and events happening Downtown
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and skills in content creation
• Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Required to have your own computer/equipment and iPhone.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
