Field Service Technician | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $49,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Provide technical support and training to customer personnel on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Document service activities, parts utilized, and resolutions accurately and thoroughly.
• Manage service schedules and travel independently to various customer locations.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and quality standards during all service operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in field service or industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including PLC diagnostics.
• Ability to read and interpret complex schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service abilities.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in a second language relevant to international clients or local demographics.
• Experience with advanced PLC programming (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000).
• Certification or advanced experience with robotic systems or specific automation platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to train clients on equipment operation and maintenance.
