We are after a highly motivated individual who is enthusiastic about helping people manage and improve their health. The main aspect of this role as health coach is working closely with the client (and their health care team) to help them increase their skill set and self-efficacy to achieve their health goals.

This is a permanent part time position working 24 hours across Monday to Sunday.

We are after an individual with the following skills and attributes:

• Basic understanding and knowledge of health conditions
• Ability to work well within a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Prior training or certificates relevant to the role are required
• Good time management
• Genuine empathy and willingness to support people to work on their health
• Good understanding of behavioural change techniques
• Experience in skills of problem solving, self-management, goal setting and creating action plans
• Confidence in using basic technologies
• Confidence in reaching out to patients
• Culturally aware, and aware of the New Zealand health context
