Help Desk Technician | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across office and production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing specific systems, including shop floor PCs, label printers, and scanners.
• Log, prioritize, and manage support tickets using an IT service management system, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
• Assist users with common applications (e.g., MS Office, ERP systems) and provide basic guidance on IT best practices.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates on workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices to ensure optimal performance.
• Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate IT teams or external vendors while maintaining communication with affected users.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT knowledge base articles and documentation for common issues and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems, hardware (desktops, laptops, printers), and common software applications.
• Experience supporting IT systems within a manufacturing or industrial environment, including shop floor PCs.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi).
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, utilizing an IT service management (ITSM) system.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience supporting ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or SCADA.
• Knowledge of industrial networking concepts or shop floor connectivity.
• Experience with ruggedized hardware or mobile devices used in a plant environment.
