Part-Time Accounting Assistant

Account Specialist with experience in AR/AP support, cash applications, reconciliations, payment processing, and financial reporting within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Part-Time Accounting Assistant Details:

• Temporary position
• $24.00 to $26.00 / hour
• Part Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 12:00pm )

• Process AR/AP transactions, cash applications, bank reconciliations, and weekly ACH payment batches in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Enter and posted AR, bank, and GL transactions while supporting Sage day-end processing and subledger balancing.
• Maintain AR aging reports, investigated payment discrepancies, and resolved short payments and outstanding balances
• Support month-end close activities, intercompany accounting, payroll journal uploads, and financial reporting requests
• Assist with vendor setup, account monitoring, and communication of payment activity with internal teams.

Part-Time Accounting Assistant Qualifications:

• High School/GED or a minimum of 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong AP/AR and GL exposure required
• Sage or Mysis experience strongly preferred
• Equivalent ERP/accounting software experience will also be considered
• Strong Microsoft 365 and Excel skills required, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas and reporting functions.
