Job Summary

Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the crew on this role you need to understand Autonomous Methodology (AM) and be able to train develop and implement the methodology to eliminate losses. You will make decisions regarding productivity and quality needs in compliance with safety requirements as well as be responsible for the skill and knowledge development and training of your this role you will be the link between all the processes maintenance and logistics. This position reports to the Factory Director.

This position is based in Louisa Virginia .

Shift schedule : 10 hours/day for 4 days from Monday to Thursday (2:30PM - 12:30AM)

Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require International relocation to the United States.

What you will do

As Production Supervisor you will:

• Manage team and employee development to ensure smooth operation: Manage vacation leave and overtime scheduling for operators plan approve and report handle all performance management activities and appraisals of all operators in shift in process area. Provide training to new operators drive development of all operators on shift.
• Lead AM teams and activities in the area. Train develop and implement AM methodology to eliminate losses on shift by improving machine reliability quality safety efficiency and maintaining the gain by standardization.
• Lead or participate in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) teams and activities to eradicate losses in the process following the WCM methodology.
• Troubleshoot problems causing waste and improve the situation and further prevent waste generation by ensuring all procedures are followed. Zero loss mindset being proactive to further minimize waste by continuous improvement. Responsible for accurate consumption and traceability of materials.
• Drive the safety culture and program within the area complying with the safety policy and all measures including safety standards like Risk assessments LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and food safety standards.
• Manage all operations in process area to ensure quality product within specification in a safe and efficient manner and support warehousing functions from shift.
• Understand the quality standards intended for the position to perform quality inspection using designated equipment. Investigate anomalies lead single event analysis maintain logs and reports report any anomalies that impact the quality of the process complying with the specifications.
• Lead shift handovers lead shift daily management system (DMS) including reporting loss identification loss analysis creating and updating standards. Report material consumption from shift in SAP.

We believe you have

• High School Diploma
• Solid computer skills (Microsoft office suite: PPT Excel Word email Sharepoint Teams)
• Ideally SAP knowledge
• Great leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Machine maintenance skills
• Knowledge of quality inspection and machine systems handling
• Experience with management of operator tags through Autonomous Maintenance
• Ability to read understand and comply with work instruction training manuals safety rules standard operating procedures and World Class Manufacturing processes
• Ability to work different shifts as needed including covering for peers
