Tool Room Supervisor | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $66,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Delta Township seeking Tool Room Supervisors who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization, inventory, and maintenance of all tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and measuring equipment.
• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all tool room equipment.
• Manage tool room personnel, including scheduling, training, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure the availability and proper functioning of tools and equipment for production needs.
• Maintain accurate records of tool inventory, repairs, and calibration.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and guidelines within the tool room.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify tool requirements and resolve tooling issues.
• Control tool room budget, including procurement of new tools and replacement parts.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool room operations and management.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tool design, and material science.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and control systems.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S implementation.
• - Familiarity with inventory management software and ERP systems.
• - Basic understanding of CNC machining or other relevant manufacturing processes.
• - Certification in a relevant trade or technical field.
• - Proven ability to train and mentor junior staff.
